Originally from Bromsgrove,
I have worked in HR for over 13 years. My love for HR started with my Business Studies A-Level. I then completed both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in HR.
I have subsequently partnered with and supported senior managers and directors within a wide variety of industries including:
First dedicated HR professional for a small site.
Supported a larger site concurrently.
Established an employee forum.
Produced a HR Handbook.
Introduced a ThinkSafe culture.
Recruited skilled engineers.
Initiated succession planning.
Established an apprenticeship scheme.
Employee Relations Manager for the world's leading food service company.
Managed a team of HR Advisors providing nationwide support.
Oversaw nationwide recruitment and redundancy projects.
Managed disciplinary and grievance situations.
Facility Services including cleaning, landscaping, pest control, & security:
Provided hands-on HR support nationwide.
Managed TUPEs, restructures and relocations.
Delivered management training.
Maintained relationships with Trade Unions.
A vast difference in structure and industries but all quite similar HR concerns.
I love to travel when time allows. I have studied in Hong Kong and Australia, worked and travelled across America, and trekked around India’s Golden Triangle including visiting the Taj Mahal and camping alongside the Ganges River.
I also enjoy working for charities on a pro bono basis.
