Fundamental Employment Policies

Personalised policies provide more protection and clarity.

Of course all businesses should follow legislative requirements, however personalised policies enable you to clarify the acceptable behaviours within your business, as opposed to what a template from the internet has stipulated.

It is advised that all businesses have the following 5 policies as a minimum:

1. Disciplinary 

2. Grievance

3. Absence

4. Social Media and Internet Use

5. Data Protection (Legal Requirement)

Keeping your policies separate from your employment contract enables you to change them without consulting with your employees. 

Including references to your policies within your Employee Handbook will inform your employees of these policies.
